The ClAssessment software requires installation on a MySql server,  classroom PCs and PDAs. It is unlikely that school staff have the time or skills to install a full client-server database package so the initial installation is performed by our own staff.  It is possible to train a key staff member to install PCs and PDAs if required.

Capabilities

Network Configuration

Our staff will configure the database server to use the existing TCP protocol settings. In most circumstances there is no need to reconfigure the network in any way.

PC Installation

All ClAssessment software is installed by our staff who are able to diagnose many PC problems you may be unaware exist. At least one PC must be installed by our staff before we can offer a support contract.

Database Import

We can supply spreadsheet templates to enable schools to rapidly create the learning objective structure and import it into the ClAssessment database. Alternatively you may use one of our existing structures as a starting point.

Web Installation

After the initial installation, new and updated programs can be installed by our staff using our proprietary 'Web-Update' software.
